The Begining of a Beautiful Relationship

This is the first post on my little piece of the Internet pie. Matthew and I were up until 12 trying to figure out how to setup MySQL database with my host Nearly Free Speech in order to get wordpress going. Their webhosting service is pretty awesome. You only pay for what you use. On the other hand you have to have a basic understanding of how to create a website. I think Matthew has washed his hands clean of this project & now it’s up to me to get a decent design up for my website. Pray for me. A lot has changed in the web-mastering world since I’ve last had a website in 2000……yeah long time! That was back when CSS was just being introduced.

I’ve also been informed that in addition to not helping me with the page that in order to have a website it must pay for itself. Therefore I have to find out fairly soon how to get AdSense going on my site. Until then I’m not allowed to buy a domain -_-. We’ll see about that though. It looks like wordpress offers some pretty nifty things called plugins, and I saw one on AdSense. I’ll have to learn how to use their plugins, and change this stupid default theme. Can you say boring….
