Johnny does the same thing. we started training him a couple months ago. we started with lots of praise, then gave stickers, then gave gummy fruit snacks if he peed in the potty. We even got him to poop in the potty a couple times. He usually gets really excited when he goes, but it's getting him on the potty that is the problem. We've tried both his little potty and the regular toilet. His grandma even works with him too when he stays over there. I even tried a day of only putting underwear on him, but that didn't work at all. It seems like the only time he wants to go on his own is if one of us says we have to use the potty and he will usually come in the bathroom with one of us and then want to go too. I'm not trying to force him too much though.I will ask him all throughout the day if he needs to go, but he almost always says "no" and you can always tell when he is going poop, but he will freak out if you try removing him from his "hiding spot" lol

I'm not too worried yet since he is still pretty young and i figure he will eventually want to go on his own. Good luck with your potty training. It sounds like something just clicked and she is more comfortable using the potty now. Congrats!
