Tax Return is Burning a Hole in my Imaginary Wallet
Published by admin under Pandemonium on February 11, 2010If I had a wallet there would be a hole in it the size the Grand Canyon right now. Since Vera arrived on the scene Matthew and I have had larger than usual tax returns, and this year was no exception since now we have two dependents; Vera AND NAOMI. Couldn’t imagine how glorious a return would be with three little dependents. Anyways doesn’t matter too much because you spend way more on the dependent then you get back, which is just fine otherwise people would be breeding in order to get government money. With that said it is still nice to get a large chunk of change. The possibilities are endless when you have a large sum at once because you can make big ticket purchases or you can be responsible and save it all. Yet at the same time there are all the things you put off during the year because you couldn’t afford it then that come back to haunt you when making your “Tax Return Spending” excel spread sheet. A girl just can’t win. This tax return money that we haven’t even gotten back yet is burning a hole in my imaginary wallet.
So what am I pining away for, you may ask? Well A LOT. And there isn’t enough to do it all.
I have a lot of things that I have to use the money responsibly for too. 1st and foremost Matthew and I have to pay back our good friend who put my laptop & Matthew’s speakers on his credit card for us (we have absolutely no credit after filing bankrupcy almost two years ago 0_0). Then we’re saving $2,500 to put down on (that is if someone will finace us)/ for a car and $1,000 to put away for when our lease is up. Those expenses pretty much take up more then half of the money. We also have this years entertainment to think about. We’ll have to get our Sea World and Zoo season passes. Vera’s already been begging to go to Sea World, but thankfully it’s been visably cold and wet out therefore we have good reason to tell her no. Then there are those expenses that we’ve put off. I think I’m going to bypass that root cannal the dentist recommend and get contacts and new lenses for my glasses. Then Matthew needs new glasses too. Wondering if there is any money left? Yeah me too. Somehow I had been delusional enough to think that somehow we could save all the money and use it as a downpayment for a house. Sadly there is just too much that needs to be done to do that. If there is anything left over there are a couple of items each of us has longed for over the year & we’ll probably try to get those.
I’d love to hear what you are spending your tax return money on or if you are even spending it at all. Leave me a comment & let me know!

Kyle and I are taking a chance in vegas with ours. We work hard all year, might as well have a little fun with it.
That sounds like a lot of fun! Hope you guys win big. I wish we were able to do something like that with ours ^_^
