When you child starts babbling and cooing you become this retarded being that talks in a language not even your own child understands, but they smile and laugh anyways. At least that’s how we behaved with Vera. Now with Naomi she is kind of just talked to like a ‘big girl’. Granted we make funny faces at her still, but we talk to her instead of  “gooing and gaging” haha. Low and behold she now efficiently says Mama, and knows who she’s talking about. She was saying it a few days ago, but it was only part of her babble. Then today as she was in her play pen she was crying for ME. It kind of broke my heart to hear the sad little baby saying “Mama” and want me, but at the same time I was pleased haha. If you didn’t guess already Vera’s first word was Dad. I’m a little bitter, but this evens the playing field ^_^.
