Deep…or NOT so Deep Thoughts & Opinions

Blogging from my NEW “office”

Published by admin under In The Begining on July 16, 2009

Last weekend we finally broke down, and purchased a netbook for myself & speakers for Matthew’s computer. Vera stuck  fisher price little people and something else that I believe was metal in the woofer of his old speakers, and it blew 3 of the 5 speakers & shorted a bunch of channels. We didn’t really have that kind of cash just laying to replace them or get me the laptop that I so desperately needed. It sucks the waiting period to get credit again after filing for bankruptcy because in that time we’re not going to be able to regain our credit score.  Thankfully John let us put it on his cc and let us pay him back. We got this awesome deal at Sam’s. My Acer Aspire One was almost $60 off the est. retail value, and Matthew’s speakers almost $100 off….so it ended up being very affordable. It was a much needed move for the both of us. For one you couldn’t listen to anything on Matthew’s computer because his speakers were so far gone. Then two I couldn’t get any work done on my novel, or this webpage for that matter because even though Vera doesn’t like me to play with her anymore I must be present for everything. She would hound me while I was sitting at Matthew’s computer, and all but drag me from the computer chair to go observe what she was doing. It got pretty irritating because it wasn’t like I wasn’t already getting up every 20 minutes or so for Naomi. Don’t misunderstand that because Naomi is not annoying in the slightest. She is by far the most calm baby I’ve ever encountered, and she makes taking care of her effortless and a joy(when she’s not teething). I was already comprising by working out on Matthew’s desktop when I have one of my own in our bedroom. Not to mention Matthew was getting irritated with all of my work being stored on his computer too. We came to a comprise on that though. Basically it was just time for me to get a new ”office”, and so I did. I am so pleased with this netbook. It’s 10 inches of pure magic. I was suprised too when I opened the box and it was ruby red. I couldn’t have been more estaic! It’s just a little less powerful then my desktop, but this netbook is perfect for what I need it for. Vera couldn’t be happier either. Now she has the pleasure of listening to “Sea Side”(Noggin-Moose A. Moose) and ”Elmo’s Song”(Elmo) from the comfort of her bedroom HA!

Another benefit is I can take the train to work so to speak haha….Corny I know. I just want to show off this bad-ass train track I put together with Vera.
