So I’ve been busy. Not you know….busy ^_~….but I’ve had a lot to do lately. So much that I’ve neglected the blogsphere and all the social network’n sites I am a proud member of.  I’ve sort of stepped away from the interent, or  “disconnected” if you will. Here’s the low down on what I’ve been doing instead if you are curious. I’m assuming you’re not though since the majority of you subscribers are silent lurkers….yeah I’m talk’n to you buddy. And you wonder why I don’t update my blog. Comments are appreciated, a lot.

I’ve dealt with infection after infection w/ the kiddos

I engaged in Hamster Battle; not to be confused with Crab Battle (not a link for the faint hearted).

My husband is officially an old man. He turned 26. He’s like over the knoll…get it….yeah if you don’t a knoll is a small hill. Look it up.

Been selling a LOT of stuff on craigslist.

The girls got new individual beds.

Had to explain to a 3 1/2 year old what a step parent is, and why her Grandpa Wilson isn’t ever around. Yeah that was a fun one. I don’t know about Matthew, but I was TOTALLY not ready for that one -_-.

Hung out with my Dad ^_^.

I cried at the end Toy Story 3. Vera got a black eye from tripping and landing on the cupholder, but that didn’t disaude her from LOVING the movie.

Drove GoKarts with Vera and another friend and her daughter. The lil girls really loved it…..and so did the mommies ^_^.

Was completely bummed after seeing Eclipse. Was it just me or did David Slade hate the Twilight Series? It was the best book, but I left the theater a little let down.

I’m like five chapters away from finishing my rough draft for this book I’m writing and for some reason I just can’t bring myself to finish it. I know how I want it to end. It just feels daunting.

I’ve been dogsitting for the past week. No I’m not sitting on dogs. That’s just cruel. While Olivia and John are on vacation we get to go let their dogs out, eat their food, and watch their movies. It’s been fun so far. One week almost down, and another to go.

I’ve done a lot of other stuff too. That’s just what stands out right now. Let’s not forget all the work I do around the house too ^_~.  What have you guys been up to this summer? Seen any good movies??

Hamster Battle

I got another opportunity through MomSelect to play with Cepia’s awesome Zhu Zhu Pets. Only this time it was their new Kung Zhu line. I thought for some reason I had signed up to receive one to review and then give one away on my  bloggity blog.  Imagine my surprise when the fed-ex guy drops off the box the size of a small kitchen appliance full of Kung Zhu pets and accesories. I freaked. Turns out they wanted me to host a party.

I completely embraced my inner ninja. I got some inexpensive $1 white fabric from Walmart to make some nija headbands for the kids to color on w/ some fabric markers. We had orange chicken, egg rolls, fruit kabobs (minus kabob sticks….don’t ask I think we just ended up throw’n the fruit in a bucket. Never realized lil wooden sticks could be such a hazard….) and trail mix. What ninja warrior or special forces ranger wouldn’t love that, right? I had planned a bunch of games, but the kids really enjoyed the Kung Zhu pets so much they never got around to it. Half of them didn’t even color their headbands ;( lol. I think Matt was like the best cousin ever that day. The majority of the children we had over were Vera & Naomi’s 2nd cousins. They’re all right in that age range to really enjoy battery operated hamsters.  The kids got to take home a Kung Zhu hamster and a corresponding battle armor. That really made their day.

Hamster Battle-Kung Zhu

Hamster battle has continued on in our household since. Those things make some weird noises….like horse and lion noises. I finally got it all picked up the other day. I was sneaking it away piece by piece so Vera wouldn’t notice. She was REALLY into them. More so I thought then the originals. I found that kind of humorous because the Kung Zhu’s were marketed to little boys. I guess Cepia hasn’t met our warrior princess haha.
