Bianca was kind enough to take us to the Pedatrician’s since Matthew’s boss is in town from California he couldn’t get the time off. Naomi had to get her six month vaccines today at her appointment. I always hate having to watch the girls get shots. It’s probably more traumatizing for me then them. It was almost like Naomi recognized the place. She had this apprehensive look on her face while we waited, and then when the nurse did her measurements she started to cry. It was like she knew these people were going to stick her with needles. She didn’t cry very long after the shots, but she was so upset that she fell asleep before we even got back to the car. She very rarely uses a pacifier, but she definitely clung on to it today. When we got home she has even nursed more than usual and is sleeping right now as we speak(or type). Normally she’s pretty active during the day. It breaks my heart to see her so distressed.

Memorial day is one of those Holidays that have an interesting history. It is a good day to celebrate life, and honor those who lost their lives to serve us. With that said I did a lot of celebrating life this weekend. We practically lived at Sea World. Olivia and John ended up getting season passes, and going with us too. That is pretty cool because it allowed me and Matthew to ride the Great White(rollercoaster), and I haven’t ridden one in a few years. Not because I didn’t want to or wasn’t at a park, but because I’ve either been pregnant or had a child in tow. So far we’ve watched every show at the park (except the Pirates 3D-which I’m not interested in). The show Vivia was pretty cool with the acrobats, and the animals. Although Vera assumed that the dolphins were sharks. She had her hands over her eyes a good majority of the show muttering about “shark”….she was really afraid for the people swimming with them haha. We kept trying to explain that they weren’t sharks, but I don’t know if she understood. Naomi definitely enjoys the shows. She gets all excited, and starts laughing. She must just be picking up on the excitement around her. She’s such a perceptive baby. We also went to Matthew’s Great Aunt Georgia’s for lunch Sunday, and to go swimming in their pool. That however was a nightmare. Vera threw a massive tantrum the moment we walked inside. I’m only assuming it was because she saw the pool, and wanted to go outside….but who knows with a two year old. She didn’t stop behaving like a maniac until we were in the car on our way home. After that we went to Matthew’s mom’s for dinner. It doesn’t even seem like we were at home at all this weekend.
