Resolutions
Published by admin under Pandemonium on December 31, 2009Resolutions. Yeah…I don’t make ‘em. I’ll wish you a Happy New Year and whatnot, but in my mind tomorrow’s just another day. It’s not the start of something new. It just marks a place in time because apparently we can’t count very high…..plus it’d take a really long time to say it’s been the 732,783 days since Jesus Christ died. Could you imagine? Happy Seventh hundredth thirty second thousandth seventh hundredth eightieth third after death day!!!
What does this have to do with resolutions you may ask? Absolutely nothing. I’m just ranting. I don’t make resolutions because it sets a very limited time for your goals/dreams, and also sets yourself up for utter disappointment when that resolution is not fulfilled. That and resolutions tend to be so so so, what’s the word I’m looking for? Stereotypical. You’ve always got the people who are like “I’m going to loose ___ many lbs.” or “I’m going to be a nicer person”. Good for you. Chances are it ain’t going to happen. Therefore I don’t waste my time contemplating a resolution. Catch my drift?
That and I don’t understand celebrating the passing of time. Maybe it’s just me, but I enjoy this gift that god gave me (i.e. life) and am a little sad to have seen it come and go. That and according to some old guy and some Aztecs earths days are numbered. In their time line we’ve got two more years to go……so if we’re here after 2012 I’ll breath a little easier & maybe JUST maybe then I’ll make a resolution haha. Until then I’m resolutionless.
P.S. remind me to blog/bitch about our crazy Christmas….Tis the season right?! lol
