The Hippo has Left the Building. Hallelujah!
Published by admin under Pandemonium on December 19, 2009You may fondly remember our noisy neighbors from these past posts, An Elephant Lives Upstairs or The Hippo Lady. Well today we got the best surprise in our renting history here at our apartment complex of 5 years this December.
There was a moving van outside our door. Nochalantly I said “Oh, someone’s moving. Too bad it isn’t the Hippo upstairs”. Low and behold it’s a Christmas miracle . It was indeed the “Elephant” who lives upstairs. Much to our joy and surprise they are moving out. They told us they bought a house because there is a little baby elephant on the way! At least all their loud obnoxious sex was productive right? I sound like a mean person, but you don’t know what we’ve gone through. Try explaining their loud romping to a Two and a half year old…..or better yet be out in public when she mimic’s their “sounds”. I wish I could say she were mimicking her own parents lol, but she’s not. However people may think she is and that adds a whole new level of embarrassment to it. OR it’s 12PM and you’ve worked really hard to get your baby to sleep and then the upstairs neighbors decide to play their computer games with the bass on or having a crazy fights(she beats him….I’ve heard him crying lol).
Once securely in our own apartment we did a little jig and sang praises to the Lord. Hallelujah! He does answer prayers. This is certainly a testament to that!
